16th Annual Puppets in the Park

This will be our 16th annual event where we offer a free community creative experience in Fayetteville park . This year we will be at the Lower Ramble, our new park situated in the Faye Jones woods next to the Fayetteville Public Library. We will again have professional puppet and children's music shows, with hands on activities with puppet making and puppet play. This year we will have a toddler sensory booth provided by Candace Houston of the Teeny Tiny Preschool. We will end our day with a giant puppet parade through the woods. It should be magical! You may volunteer for this event in many ways, by checking our enrollment page and finding what works for you. But even if you can't volunteer, please join us for some unusual fun with the family and community!

Q Club: Session 7

Come together to meet new friends, identify, and process your feelings through art therapy. The group provides a safe, nonjudgmental space to share their stresses, concerns, and successes through talking, journaling and creating meaningful art pieces. We will use lots of different materials and methods to think and talk about our strengths and challenges. We will learn to recognize our friends and allies, to get the support we need and begin to heal from wounds and make positive choices that feel right for us. As we make choices in our art, we practice making choices for our lives.

This FREE group will meet on Tuesday evenings for 7 sessions, 5:30-7 pm, beginning May 21. Ages 13-18. Led by Jo Ann Kaminsky, MEd, LPC, Play Therapist and Registered Art Therapist

Bread and Puppet: The Apocalypse Defiance

The circus is coming! The circus is coming! Bread & Puppet Theater makes a rare cross-country tour this
fall 2022. With performances coast to coast, from New York to Seattle, Los Angeles to New Orleans, the
iconic political puppet theater company brings Our Domestic Resurrection Circus: Apocalypse Defiance to
over 50 cities and towns, including Fayetteville on Saturday, November 19, 2022. Circus-goers and
apocalypse defiers of all ages are welcome at Gulley Park for the show at 3:30pm. $10-$25 donations are
suggested, and no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
Fifty-two years ago Bread & Puppet Theater
performed Our Domestic Resurrection Circus
for the first time at Goddard College in
Plainfield, VT. Since then, this capacious and
provocative title has served as the basis of
annual spectacles that generations of
audiences have come to rely on for satire
and celebration in the face of intolerable
circumstances. This year, B&P will take up
the tradition again, albeit with a timely
subtitle: The Apocalypse Defiance Circus
